What is KCSHRM?

The Kern County Chapter Society for Human Resource Management (KCSHRM) is an organization of human resource professionals whose primary goal is to foster an educational environment that is facilitated by the exchange of information and ideas.

We are a Professional Chapter affiliated with The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 250,000 members in over 140 countries, the Society serves the needs of HR professionals and advances the interests of the HR profession. Founded in 1948, SHRM has more than 575 affiliated chapters within the United States and subsidiary offices in China and India.

Why KCSHRM?

Our mission is to educate, support, and advance the role of the human resource profession in Kern County. We accomplish our mission by providing essential knowledge and education; facilitating opportunities for personal interaction; and serving as liaison and advocate to other local, regional, state, and national entities.

To accomplish this mission KCSHRM is committed to offering monthly meetings, periodic conferences, and other programs and activities. These events will be educational and informative, focusing on topics of current and general interest for the membership, including legislative issues. A major goal of such events will be providing the opportunity for networking and sharing within the human resources professional community.
