Kern County SHRM Committee on Diversity

In 2001, the Kern County SHRM Board developed a committee on Diversity to explore opportunities that would educate and inform members on areas of diversity in the workplace. The committee consists of representatives from a wide variety of local business corporations, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations. It is the goal of the committee and Kern County SHRM to embrace that people are diverse. Diverse in their cultures, communication styles, management styles, values, expectations and learning styles. Once we understand these differences we are able to allow each employee to reach his or her full potential.
